ANU Cricket Club

Welcome to the Australian National University Cricket Club website. Please have a look around and let us know what you think.

In the pre-season of 2011-12, we undertook a revamp of the previous website and this is it. Most of the things you would expect to see are here. Club History is covered in depth. Statistics for current and past players are here too – probably the most professional stats pages you will find at club level. When you login there is a lot more for you: Photo albums, team pages, discussions and of course selections. You might want to catch up on some of the featured The Oracle articles too.

Glenda Hall Shield Just by registering on the site over there on the right hand side, you can start to see the extra info here. Of course there are things that only registered players and club officials can see and that is another thing we are trying to do – provide a web home for our club so we can have cricket 24/7.

3rd grade premiers Last season, two teams had the best success possible. Third grade and our women’s Glenda Hall teams both won their Grand Finals. In the coming season, ANU Cricket Club is aiming high and we are always looking for new players – the curse of a University club is that we lose players when they graduate. If you are looking for a club with outstanding facilities and which plays hard and fair in the Spirit of Cricket, then check out the New Players page. Club Secretary, Greg Badcock was awarded Administrator of the Year by ACT Cricket and Suzi Foley was given a volunteering award for her work running the In2Cricket programme at ANU Cricket Club. Randall Starr and Andrew Stead were selected for the ACT Cricket Grade Cricket (allstars) team. Kate O’Sullivan was the Glenda Hall Best Player and several other ANU Club members received awards at their grade level. See the Awards page for more information.

In 2011-12 ANU Cricket Club will be entering teams in Men’s Grade Competition from First through to Fifth Grades and Women’s Premier League and Glenda Hall Competitions.

Socially, we plan to do a lot more over the next few years than we have in recent seasons. The club has built a strong link with the Turner Bowls Club so that we can move towards a home for ANU Cricket. Turner Bowls is the place to be after the game. See the Sponsor’s page for more information. ANU Cricket Club thanks our sponsors and asks that players and friends help the sponsors who help us to play cricket. Login to see the Social page and the event calendar for more information on what is going on socially.

ANU Cricket Club is coming up to its 50th Anniversary as an independent cricket club. We look forward to seeing many old faces down at picturesque North and South Ovals as well as new faces on the field.

The About page talks about what this website is all about. Are you looking for the Statistics? Look no further:
